Homemade Whole Wheat Pretzels
We got creative with the shapes so they may not look great but they were yummy!! After baking we drizzled on the butter and sprinkled with cinnamon sugar. We halved the recipe with whole wheat and all-purpose flour so they'd be a healthier snack but not too dense.
Recipe:
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 1/2 cup all purpose flour
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
packet of yeast
1 cup warm water
Combine first five ingredients then mix with warm water and let stand for half an hour.
2 cups warm water with 2 tbps baking soda in small mixing bowl
Cut dough into 8 equal parts and roll out shapes then dip into baking soda water and lay on baking sheet. Let stand for 10 minutes then bake 10 at 450 degrees.
3 tbsp melted butter
Cinnamon sugar
Brush with butter and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar while still hot.
