Pillows

Leilani drew her favorite Ever After High characters on a pillow from the fabric store.

Normally, you would make a pillow case but Leilani just took some fabric markers and a Sharpie to draw directly onto the pillow.

Keira decided to sew a pillow case and make an Olaf with felt. She drew an Olaf on a piece of paper and cut out the pieces of felt from her drawing then glued the felt to the pillow case. Grandma Honey sewed the felt to the pillow case.

Both girls had their own ideas to create a pillow with their favorite characters. They both turned out amazing!

Crayon Art

The girls picked out crayons and hot glued them to a canvas.

Then they used a heat gun to melt the crayons.

We tried the blow dryer but it doesn't get hot enough.

The girls had a lot of fun with it and asked to make more.

Monsters

Leilani found this looking around Pinterest for craft ideas, it was a monster made from old gloves. Not sure how old the gloves were but the girls enjoyed making their monsters.

The thumbs were cut off, the hole was sewn up then the glove was filled with stuffing and the bottom was stitched up.

Keira did all her own sewing, Leilani needed a little extra assistance.

The eyes were buttons stitched on.

The mouth was made from felt and hot glued on.

Shrinky Dink

The girls had a school delay and time to kill so they pulled out the shrinky dink sheets. They drew out their pictures and colored them with permanent markers, cut out the drawings and baked at 300 degrees for 5 minutes on parchment paper.

Snakes

Simple draft stoppers.

Decorated with fabric markers and a couple eyes glued on.

 Turned into snakes.

Box Chairs

The girls still love to play with boxes and we had plenty of them due to a lot of online Christmas shopping.

They cut one panel loose to be the back of the chair then went to town with duct tape.

Next they found pillows and sheets to give them the right look and comfort.

Just their size!
